Coryphantha compacta

From northern Mexico, Coryphantha compacta is a usually solitary globular cactus to 4 inches around. Varieties exist both with and without central spines like mine. In time it will develop a wooly crown from which its yellowish white flowers appear. This one was from Tanque Verde Nursery and sold to me as C. cornifera. But I have one of those and it looks very different.
