Echinocereus pamanesiorum

Found in the Mexican state of Zacatecas, Echinocereus pamanesiorum is an occasionally clumping cylindrical cactus to 14 inches tall and 3 inches thick. The new growth spines are a pretty red and the flower a little more suttle a pink than some Echinocereus.
These three nice stems came from a trade with "Xenomorf", a fellow member of the Davesgarden.com gardening forums. The flower opened about a week after I got it. I think I'll find a place in the garden for it. The last picture is Xeno's. It looks to have been taken right after he bought it. What a display! Also check out the gallery of Xenomorphs pictures in the Galleries/Friends section.
