Ferocactus robustus

     Native to central Mexico, Ferocactus robustus is one of the smaller Feros reaching only 8 inches in diameter. It is a fierce clumper and produces patches several feet wide. It produces yellow flowers in mid summer.
     I got his one from Tohono Chul Park, winter 2006. I'll plant it in the garden next spring. The picture below is of a nice clump at B&B Cactus Farm.
