From the Caribbean, Mammillaria prolifera is a freely clumping globular cacti with heads that average 2 inches around. It is aptly named as it both flowers and offsets profusely. If you're going to put some in the ground you had better have some room. In late winter and spring it puts out its pale yellow lightly striped flowers.
