Micranthocereus estevesii

Micranthocereus estevesii is native to Brazil in a region between Campos Belos, in the state of Goiás, and Taguati, in the Federal District. It is a beautiful gold spined blue bodied columnar that can reach a height of 18 feet, which is unusual for Micranthocereus so it is often placed in Austrocephelocereus. Once it reaches flowering size it produces white tubular nocturnal flowers in summer from a cephalium that grows on the side of the stem facing the sun. I couldn't find any information about growth habit other than the height which came from Au Cactus Francophone. So I don't know if it branches from the sides or produces offsets at the base like other Micranthocereus.
When I found this potfull my immediate idea was to split it up and put some of it in the garden. But that idea went out the window when I read it is cold sensitive and doesn't like it much below 50 degrees. So I'll put them up seperately and will have to greenhouse them in winter.
