Parodia erubescens

From Uruguay, Parodia erubescens is a solitary globular cactus to 5 inches around and 7 inches tall. It has hard red spines and produces large yellow flowers with a red stigma. It was discovered by Hugo schlosser and originally named Notocactus schlosseri. I have two of these one potted and one in the Ground. No flowers from either of them yet.
