Rebutia breviflora ssp. nova

One in my collection

This one came from Miles Anderson and he told me this is how the seed was sold to him. As I know nothing about the ssp. nova (meaning new) I'll tell you about R. breviflora instead. Desert Tropicals lists it as a synonym of R. caineana from Bolivia. It's supposed to get about 2.5 inches around, which makes this one full grown. Pictures I've seen show yellow or yellowish orange flowers and offsets, so hopefully I'll get some offsets from this one. One or two pictures I came across are nearly identical to this one with it's purple body and straw colored spines, though I'm sure the color has to do with strong light.
When I repotted this one I found it had a substantial tuberous root. So I decided to pot it up a little higher for effect and also so any offsets can be taken without un-potting it.
