Rebutia muscula

From Bolivia, Rebutia muscula is a clumping tiny cactus to an inch or so wide and 2 inches tall. It can grow slightly larger in cultivation. This one is about 3 inches tall and an inch and a half wide. Its spines are soft and harmless, one of the truly pettable cacti. It produces its bright orange flowers in profusion through fall and evn winter. The flower pic below was donated by Todd Boland, a fellow member of the Davesgarden.com forums. Thanks Todd. nbsp    ;I got this one two days before Christmas 2006 from Tohono Chul. I'll repot it in spring and take some offsets.
