From Mexico, Stenocactus phyllacanthus is a bit different from other Stenos I've seen, the main spines are papery and flexible. The one on the left flowered for me this winter but I could not get a very good picture. The tight spination wouldn't let the flower open all the way. The flower was a lot like the crispatus and multicostatus flowers but the stripe is browner.
