Stenocereus alamosensis "Octopus Cactus"

Native to northern Mexico, Stenocereus alamosensis is a branching, sprawling, spiny tree like cactus to 12 feet tall. Its stems can be 3 inches thick and 6 feet long. Deep pink tubular flowers are produced from the sides of the stems in summer.
This was a cutting from a neighbors yard. I'm layering several pieces of it and potted the tip. Unfortunately it has some frost damage but should come back. The flower pic was taken at the Desert Museums Aviary.
