Stenocereus beneckei

Native to central Mexico, Stenocereus beneckei is a branching semi-prostrate columnar cactus with an attractive grey white bloom on the new growth. The bloom rubs or washes off easily so the lower parts of the stems are usually a blue green or even bronze color in strong light. It's nocturnal cream colored flowers appear in winter and only last a day.
I saw this at Home Depot and knew it was something I had never seen before. I repotted the large one in a nice pot and cut up the smaller one for cuttings. I want plenty of this to share down the road. I've read it's not very cold hardy so I don't think any will go in the yard.
