Thelocactus conothelos

From the states of Nuevo León, San Luis Potosí and Tamaulipas, Mexico, Thelocactus conothelos is a usually solitary cylindrical cactus to 12 inches tall and 6 inches wide. It's another nicely spined Thelo and produces white to pink flowers in late winter or early spring. I'm about to find out the flower color on this one.
I got this one also Tohono Chul. Hopefully it's the pink flowered form. Update March 6th 2007. Here it is, not just pink but magenta and red!
