Turbinicarpus pseudomacrochele

From Hidalgo and Queretaro Mexico, Turbinicarpus pseudomacrochele is a tiny beautiful paper spined cactus that is one of the few Turbinicarpus that offsets. I can't wait till the offsets on this one get big enough to pot up. It appreciates light shade to part sun and like most other species a fast draining mineral based soil. This one flowered in winter in my greenhouse and doesn't have the characteristic magenta midstripe on the petals. How disappointing! It's apparently the variety albiflorus, which means "white flower".
