Adromischus cooperi



     Native to Noorsveld, Eastern Cape, South Africa, Adromischus cooperi is a small clumping succulent with short blunt tipped leaves 2 to 3 inches tall. The leaves are randomly spotted with purple in strong light. In late winter through spring it produces ten inch flower stalks. The flowers are tiny, pink and star shaped.
     This is a pretty little plant. I have the good fortune of owning a macro lens kit for my digital and captured the picture below. The flower is less than 3/16 of an inch across. I have a hard time seeing this even with my glasses on :-)
