Agave desmetiana marginata
"Smooth Agave"

Thought to originate in either Mexico or Cuba, Agave desmetiana is one of the few Agaves that has neither teeth or a sharp terminal spine. Its leaves are soft and flexible as well as smooth, hence the common name. It's also one of the smaller Agaves, the rosettes only get to about 36 inches across. The "marginata variety has a yellow stripe along the edges of the leaves
Another from my friend in Phoenix. Have about 4 of these to put in the garden someday. Xenomorf, a fellow member of the Davesgarden.com gardening forums has allowed me to use his pictures on the site. Thanks Xeno :-) Below is a mature rosette and some flower pics. Also check out the gallery of Xenomorfs other pictures in the Photo Galleries/Friends section.
