Aloe broomii

Found in the Upper Karoo region of South Africa, Aloe broomii is a large, usually solitary Aloe that can grow to 3 feet in diameter. It's leaves are heavily toothed and an even medium green. The pale orange flowers are born on an unbranched flower stalk in late winter to early spring.
This little six inch rosette is planted in my garden, which may have been a mistake. We'll just have to see how long it takes to get 3 feet around. I may have to move it in a season or two.
