Aloe ciliaris
"Climbing Aloe"

From the Eastern Cape Province of South Africa, Aloe ciliaris is a tall branched shrub like Aloe with rosettes up to 24 inches across. Know as the "Climbing Aloe" because of it's tendancy to grow upwards through other foliage, it can reach heights of 30 feet or more in the wild. Red flowers with greenish yellow tips are produced off and on throughout the season.
I have two of these. One I planted in the garden hoping it will grow up through the tree it's planted in front of.
