Aloe dorotheae

     Native to Tanzania and eastern Africa, Aloe dorotheae is a beautifully toothed, clumping, stemless rosette up to 20 inches wide. In bright light the rosettes turn a beautiful shade of orange red. In early spring red flowers appear on a stalk 2 feet high.
     Found this small one at Home Depot. Hopefully it will look as nice someday as the clump at the Desert Botanical Gardens on the Aloe page.
