Aloe nobilis hybrid "Crosbys Compact"

Aloe nobilis, also known as "Gold Tooth Aloe" is a cultivated hybrid thought to be a cross between Aloe mitriformis or Aloe distans and possibly Aloe arborescens. It's leaves have greenish yellow teeth on the edges and backs near the tips along with pale spots. It offsets readily and in time produces clumps of 12 inch rosettes a few feet around. The flowers are an orangeish red and it blooms in early summer.
This one is a hybrid knwn as "Crosbys Compact", I'm assuming that means it doesn't get as big as the type species. It also has white rather than yellow teeth. I got this one late last year, too late to see it flower. Hopefully it will surprise me this season. It turned beautifully pink and red over winter in my greenhouse. The picture above was taken in spring as it slowly shed it winter colors. Below is a view of it last summer.
