Cissus tuberosa

A Cissus tuberosa in my collection
Cissus is a genus of 350 vining plants related to Grapes and found all over the world.
I only have this one species of Cissus so I won't build a seperate page for it. Cissus tuberosa is a decidous vine from Mexico. In winter the vine dies back to the tuberous trunk, then with the warmer weather and watering a new single stemmed vine forms. In time the trunk can get quite large and so it's fascination lies in being among the plant groups collectors call "Fat Plants".
