Echeveria "Black Prince"

     Developed by Frank Reinelt of
Capitola, California Echeveria "Black Prince" is a hybrid of E. shaviana and E. affinis.
Echeveria "Black Prince" is so named because of it's dark purple almost black color. It is
usually a solitary rosette to 8 inches in diameter, but an older specimen may produce offsets.
Grown best in morning sun or light shade, it must be acclimatized to full sun or it will burn
leaving unsightly brown patches. In late fall to midwinter this Echeveria puts up a flower spike
of brilliant red flowers.
