Euphorbia pseudocactus
"Zig Zag Plant"

From southeastern South Africa, Euphorbia Pseudocactus is a branching succulent shrub to 3 feet tall. It's interestingly patterned, spiny stems form a candelabra shaped plant over time and it makes a nice addition to any mild climate garden or landscape. In spring tiny yellow flowers appear along the ribs of the stems.
This is probably the first Euphorbia I ever grew and many have come and gone over the years. I have two that seem to do well in the garden. They are very easy to grow from cuttings and grow fairly fast. I also have the smaller variety, "Lyttonia". Click below for more pictures.
