Euphorbia susannae "Suzanne's Spurge"

From the Cape Province of South Africa, Euphorbia susannae is a small
clumping succulent named for the wife of it's discoverer, Suzanna Muir. Discovered by Dr. John Muir in 1925, it is a
very rare plant found in only a few areas of the Kleine Karoo. It's bright green tuberculed stems are often partially buried under
silt and debris, giving the impression that a clump of it is actually several plants. The clumps are actually a single plant and
can grow to about 12 inches across. In bright light the plant can often take on a purple tinge.
I got this one at Arid Lands here in Tucson. I took one pup and tried to root it without success,
I think maybe it was too small. It seems to be a slow growing plant, but pretty nonetheless.
