From the Western Cape Province of South Africa, Gasteria carinata var. retusa is another miniature, producing distichous (leaves in opposite ranks rather than spiralled) heavily offsetting rosettes, only a few inches across. Thats about all I can find out about it.
      I have several of these from Home Depot or Lowes, can't remember. They are always mislabelled Gasteria liliputana. I can't even be sure it's a Gasteria carinata var. retusa, but it looks close to it. It may actually be some sort of hybrid.
