Haworthia limifolia "Fairy Washboard"

Native to Swaziland, Mozambique and portions of South Africa, Haworthia limifolia is a beautiful spiralling rosette forming succulent with interestingly ridged leaves. The rosettes can get to 3 inches across and it offsets slowly. It's dark green leaves are attractivelly grooved and shiny, and the plant can turn brownish purple in high light. The flowers are pale green with darker green stripes.
I love the look of this plant. I got this one at a local nursery here in Tucson and so far it has done well. It's now producing a flower stalk so hopefully I'll have some flowers pics soon.
Update June 23rd 2006, flower pic!
