Haworthia truncata

     From the Little Karoo region of the Western Cape Province of South Africa, Haworthia truncata is a different Haworthia in that it's leaves form opposite one another rather than in rosette fashion. The plant can get to 5 inches across and are usually solitary how ever some varieties will offset. The blunt tips of the leaves seem to be cut off flush to the surface of the soil and can be beautifully marked. In bright light the plant can turn a deep brown, almost black. They require a deep pot to accommodate a large tap root. Several varieties and cultivars, exist each with their own unique qualities.
     I have a couple of these, the cultivar "Lime Green" above and the normal one below. The flowers were from the "Lime Green"
