Haworthia venosa ssp. tesselata

Native to the Northern and Western Cape Provinces of South Africa, Haworthia venosa ssp. tesselata is a beautifully patterned and colored plant. The rosettes can get to 2 inches across and it offsets slowly, eventually becoming somewhat columnar. The rosettes are marked in a random checkerboard fashion and the plant varies from a gorgeous deep green to reddish brown. Flowers are similar to other Haworthias.
I have several mature rosettes of this plant and several potted offsets. I tried this one in the garden but it didn't work out too well, luckily it came back for me potted. I think it likes a little more shade. Perhaps I'll try a different spot with one of the pups.
