Senecio

A Senecio scaposus in my collection

Senecio is a genus of over a thousand annual and perennial shrubs and weeds found all over the world. Only those found in Africa and Arabia are of interest to succulent collectors. Most have succulent stems and or leaves. Some are segmented and decidous and others produce no true leaves at all.
Succulent Senecios are easy to grow but care must be taken in watering as some are rot prone. Best to pot in a very fast draining mix. Most can be reproduced from stem cuttings.

I have several species of Senecio
